Estimates and approval
Estimates are provided after inspection and are valid for 30 days. Work begins only after you approve the estimate. If additional work is discovered, we stop and call you before proceeding.
Deposits and payment
A deposit may be required on parts-heavy restorations. The balance is due on completion or delivery. We accept cash, check and major cards. Items are released once payment clears.
Timelines
Quoted timelines are estimates in good faith. Parts availability, particularly for obsolete movements, can extend a job. We will keep you informed of material delays.
Warranty
Complete overhauls carry a one-year warranty on our labor. The warranty excludes damage from accident, moving, environmental extremes, unauthorised adjustment, or lubrication or dismantling by another party. Adjustments to rate within the warranty period are made free of charge.
Items left with us
Clocks are insured while in our care to a reasonable declared value; please tell us if a piece warrants a higher declared value. Items not collected within 90 days of notice of completion may incur storage fees, and after 180 days may be disposed of to recover charges as permitted by Texas law.
Limitations
Antique clocks carry inherent risk: aged metal, dried wood and previous poor repairs can fail during service. We take every reasonable precaution, but we cannot warrant against the failure of original parts that were already at the end of their life.
Appraisals
Appraisals and condition reports reflect our professional opinion on the date issued and are not a guarantee of sale price.
